4sqmap Privacy Policy

This privacy policy sets out how 4sqmap ("Service") uses and protects any information that you give 4sqmap when you use this website.
The Service uses the foursquare® application programming interface (API) but is not endorsed or certified by Foursquare Labs, Inc.
4sqmap complies with Foursquare's Terms of Use, API License Agreement and the terms and conditions of Foursquare API Platform Policy.
By using the Service, you are agreeing with these terms and conditions.

What data we collect

We store only your authentication key to the foursquare API.
Also we may cache some results of the requests to foursquare API but not longer than 24 hours.
If you make your stats public on this page https://www.4sqmap.com/stats we also save some basic user information:

• Foursquare User ID
• Name
• Location (from your profile)
• Link to Profile Picture
• Contact information including twitter account and email address
• Some stats including count of checkins, mayorships, badges, tips, friends

All other data is obtained from foursquare API and is not stored permanently (we don't store your checkins history and other personal data).

Security

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure.
We use Google App Engine Datastore to store your personal data and Google App Engine Memcache to store cache results of your requests to the foursquare API.

Cookies

A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer's hard drive, generally to quickly identify a user’s computer. The Service sends cookies to your computer when you sign in using foursquare on 4sqmap.

Our website may contain links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. Deleting Your Information

At any time you can disconnect 4sqmap application from the foursquare service on the foursquare settings page https://foursquare.com/settings (find 4sqmap app and click Revoke Access).
If you decide to completely delete your data in our system, please contact us.
